DESCRIPTION:ASKREACH SUPPLIER PLATFORM – YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO THE “RIGHT TO KNOW” OF CONSUMERS\n \nThe AskREACH system aims at helping article suppliers to be compliant on their communication duties on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) according to the European Chemicals Regulation, REACH. Article 33 REACH stipulates that suppliers of articles containing Substances of Very High concern (SVHC) in a concentration above 0.1% (w/w) must provide this information to their (professional) customers, as well as information to allow the safe use of the article. It also determines the consumers’ right to request and obtain this information from a supplier. To read more about the AskREACH project visit the dedicated page of the REACH&CLP Helpdesk website or the project website at www.askreach.eu.\nSome companies might have already received consumer requests via the Scan4Chem smartphone application that has been launched in the framework of the AskREACH project. REACH&CLP Helpdesk Luxembourg proposes an opportunity for companies to understand their obligations and get to know the AskREACH supplier platform to answer the consumer requests sent via the Scan4Chem app.\nThe event will consist of a short theory part on REACH requirements for substances in articles, a demonstration of the AskREACH supplier front end, an experience of the system by an international company as well as a part on how to gather the relevant information from the supply chain.\nThis event will be held partially in English and partially in French.
