Dr Michael Althof, Head of Portfolio Management, Royalton Partners
Michael is a portfolio manager and the head of Royalton Partners ETF Capital Markets team. He oversees ETF trading activities across the dealer community and end clients. Michael joined Royalton Partners in 2021. He has almost 20 years of investment experience. He previously lead the ETF Capital Markets team in EMEA for PIMCO Europe, and was fund manager for PIMCO Real Return inflation protected portfolios. Michael holds a Master’s degree from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris, focused on financial maths, and a Doctorate Degree in mathematical statistics at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He is also a certificate in quantitative finance (CQF) designation holder.
Christophe Cormet, Head of Legal, State Street Bank International GmbH, Luxembourg branch
Christophe Cormet is the Head of Legal of State Street Bank International GmbH, Luxembourg branch (SSBIL) and a member of the Management Committee of SSBIL. SSBIL is #1 fund administrator, custodian and transfer agent in Luxembourg. Christophe is the chair of the ALFI Working Group Depositaries of Virtual Assets. Before joining SSBIL, Christophe worked as a senior legal counsel for CACEIS Luxembourg and BNP Paribas in Luxembourg. He has 22 years of experience as both a fund industry and a corporate banking lawyer. Christophe holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Paris X Nanterre and is graduated from the Grenoble Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po).

Patrick Hoffmann, International, regulation and enforcement, CSSF
Patrick Hoffmann is in charge of analysing and following up on regulatory aspects relating to Luxembourg undertakings of collective investment within the investment fund department of the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). Recently, Patrick is spending some of his time on assessing the impact of new technologies, such as Distributed Ledger Technology, on the investment fund industry in Luxembourg. He is now leading the CSSF investment fund department’s efforts regarding crypto-assets and he is a member of the ESMA Crypto-Assets Task Force. Before joining the CSSF end of 2015, Patrick has gained some professional experience in the audit department of KPMG Luxembourg. Patrick holds a Master’s degree in International Management from the International School of Management (ISM) in Germany.
Laurent Marochini , Head of Innovation, Société Générale Securities Services
Laurent Marochini is Head of Innovation at Société Générale Securities Services in Luxembourg. Since 2018, Laurent has been Blockchain Leader for the Group and founder of the Innovation Lab #LePlateauLUX. Prior to joining SGSS, Laurent held various management positions in the banking sector, in particular in BNP Paribas Securities Services and Credit Suisse Private Banking. He joined Société Générale in 2006 as a risk manager. Laurent is highly involved in the Fintech ecosystem. He is Co-Chairman of the ALFI (Association Luxembourgeoise des fonds investissements) Working Group Blockchain & Crypto Currencies and member of the Fintech & Digital Executive Committee, President of the taskforce Blockchain and crypto at the LHoFT (Luxembourg House of Financial Technology), as well as Vice Chairman at ABBL (Association Banques et Banquiers Luxembourgeois) for the Fintech and Innovation Committee. The industry has recognised Laurent as Top 4 Fintech Leader of the year for the Luxembourg by Finance Awards (2017); Top 21 Regtech worldwide Leader by Medici (2018); Twice awarded second Worldwide Best Innovation Maker of Société Générale (2015–2016).
Nestor Verrier, General Manager, Swissquote Bank Europe SA
Nestor is Authorised Manager at Swissquote Bank Europe S.A., Luxembourg’s leading multi-asset online Bank where he is responsible for business operations and the day-to-day management of the Bank. Since he joined, back in 2019, he has been leading strategic transformation objectives, including the integration of Internaxx Bank into the Swissquote Group, the launch of Digital Assets activities, new products, and licenses regulatory approvals, and the acquisition of Keytrade Bank Luxembourg. He is currently focused on the expansion of the digital asset product suite and building the Institutional services offering of the Bank. Previously, he worked 15 years for Banque Carnegie Luxembourg S.A., a Swedish private bank focused on international asset management and fund services where he assumed different positions in IT and Management before being appointed as General Manager. As a specialist in the fund and banking industry, he was responsible for strategic projects such as fund/custody migrations and IT development of the Private Banking and Fund Administration businesses. He is a confirmed specialist in the fund and banking industry from an operational and regulatory perspective, passionate about innovation and technologies with strong expertise in digital assets, data analysis and information security.
